The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySec) has granted a Class 3 registration Crypto Asset Services Provider (CASP) to cryptocurrency exchange Binance Cyprus Ltd.
Executive Vice President of Binance Europe, Mr Bruncko says this registration follows those already established in major EU countries like France, Italy and Spain, and confirms Binance’s commitment to the EU market.
With this step, Binance, the world’s trading cryptocurrency leader and is also aiming at the eastern Mediterranean clientele.
Class 3 follows anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing regulations, and services also include custodian, staking requirement and card services.
